“I acknowledge the significance of clay as a material and the role it has played in the development of humanity. I honor the traditions and cultures that have shaped its use, from ancient craftsmanship to contemporary practice. Clay, sourced from the earth, connects us to the land and to the innumerable hands that have molded it into objects of beauty, utility, ceremony, and expression throughout history.

This presentation of my work celebrates not only the creative possibilities of clay but also its very nature, which continues to inspire and challenge my own practice. I am grateful for this medium, and for the ongoing conversation it invites, one that reaches across past, present, and future.”
